July 10, 2025 will be a date to mark. One of those that, in a few years, we will remember as a watershed: from that day on, Instagram will begin to make public photos and videos searchable by Google (and potentially by other engines), complete with captions, tags and - above all - visual context. Yes, you read that right. The era of images "closed" within a platform opens to a new season: that of extended visibility. The images, reels, carousels, the most iconic (or daily) shots will no longer live only within the social network. They will be traceable on Google by anyone who is looking for that topic, that object, that face, that scene.
