E proprio qui, a Giurdignano, da giugno 2025 ha aperto un posto che già nel nome promette bene: Spesa & Sorrisi. Un minimarket, sì, ma non il solito minimarket.

Theater is the art of narrating life, and in Giurdignano, on August 6, 2025, the curtain will rise on a story that's both hilarious and thought-provoking: "Tutte Fije de Diu," a brilliant two-act comedy adapted and directed by Aurelia Spano, a name that has been a key figure in the local theater scene for years. The event, organized by the "Il Megalite" Cultural Association, is scheduled for 9:00 PM on Via Madonna del Rosario and promises to transform the summer evening into a moment of collective celebration.

Actors for one night, protagonists forever. When theater becomes a dream come true in Giurdignano. There's a magic that only theater can ignite. A spark that begins timidly in the classroom and transforms into light, voice, and emotion, before an audience that becomes silent accomplices. This is what happened last night in Piazza Municipio in Giurdignano, when the fifth-grade students of the elementary school staged a play freely based on Alessandro Manzoni's masterpiece, The Betrothed.

Something extraordinary happens every time the school leaves the classroom and meets the community. It has happened—or rather, it's about to happen—in Giurdignano, where the very young students of the fifth grade elementary school are preparing to take to the stage in Piazza Municipio on Sunday, July 13th at 9:00 PM, with a theatrical performance freely based on one of the cornerstones of Italian literature: Alessandro Manzoni's The Betrothed.

Salento, with its lands rich in history and traditions, hosts one of the hidden jewels of Puglia: Giurdignano. This small town, located in the heart of the province of Lecce, is a place where the past and the present blend harmoniously, creating a unique and fascinating atmosphere. Living here for over 16 years, I have learned to deeply love this land, and today I want to share with you the beauty of Giurdignano.

Dear readers of Blogamente, It is with great joy and satisfaction that I write to you today to share an important and significant milestone for me. From July 20th, thanks to the Giro Menhir of Giurdignano, in the square of our beloved town it is possible to admire a bookmark with graphics created by me in memory of Rocco Santoro. This bookmark is not just a simple object, but represents a project that involved me deeply.

On 13 July 2024, the Baronial Palace of the Municipality of Giurdignano saw the inauguration of an extraordinary exhibition: "La Pareodia" by Carlo Toma. This event, designed to enchant children and their families, immediately captured the imagination of all those present, thanks also to the special participation of Alessandro Cecchi Paone, well-known science communicator and television presenter, who kicked off the event at 7.30pm.

We really had fun! We got together with parents of my son Giacomo's age to play a parent-versus-child match. It was a real moment of togetherness, fun and absolute relaxation for all our kids. Seeing them happy was the best gift!
